Hello and welcome!
Let me introduce myself. I am Kimberlee Pappa and this is my first year at Wexler-Grant! I am so excited to help your children on their educational journey!
My philosophy of teaching is that the best way to educate a child is to follow their natural interests, wherever they may lead. There are ways to help children learn, whether they enjoy animals, space, the supernatural, or skateboarding. It is possible to find materials to interest any age, ability level, or even language.
I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education at Southern CT State University. For several years, my specialty has been helping struggling readers. I love to help them find confidence and pride when they see how much progress they are making, and what had seemed impossible becomes easy.
I want to help your child find that confidence and a love of reading and learning. Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year!

I am offering after-school help for your children. I will send home a signature sheet each week with the dates and hours extra help is being offered. We will be working on different subjects based on need. All children in my class are welcome!
Homework is important. It is necessary for your child to practice the skills they have learned in school. Homework is given daily with reading being the main focus. It is expected that students will read every night (including Saturday & Sunday) for 15-20 minutes. All homework should be signed by a parent.
REMEMBER...Be RESPONSIBLE, do your BEST, and hand in your homework every day!
