I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Sarah Skrelja and I am your child's new 5th Grade literacy and social studies teacher!! I am so excited to begin my fifth year at Wexler-Grant in 5th Grade, teaching Reading and Writing. I graduated from Sacred Heart University with my Master's in Elementary Education in May 2012 and have spent a lot of time in classrooms in different districts.
***I have included a small supplies list towards the middle of this page. Feel free to send your child to school with extras of anything (if possible) as we tend to run out fast of a lot of things!!*** You will be receiving a monthly newsletter that will update you on all the important happenings in our 5th Grade Literacy classroom. Your child will be encouraged to work to their potential, to learn to be proud of themselves, and to respect themselves, their families, and their community. I am expecting a fun year full of learning, growing, and hard work. I am here to encourage and support your child as they need, but I do want to see them become independent, successful individuals.
